It is not often a classical musician has the opportunity to perform their favourite repertoire with musicians that they have performed with for many years! This Saturday March 18th is such an occasion. I have been invited by the Ensemble Prisme to perform some exceptional repertoire. Given the events of the past couple of years this is very special to be able to do this concert in front of an audience at this venue with these musicians.
If you enjoy French chamber music from the Impressionist period you need to attend this concert.
I will be performing:
Sonate – Claude Debussy
Pour flûte, alto et harpe
This is one of my favourites and it is a pleasure to perform with Jeffery and Olivier.
Sérénade, opus 30 – Albert Roussel
Pour flûte, violon, alto, violoncelle et harpe
A lesser known composition by Roussel however it is very compelling to listen to.
In addition there is:
Quatuor op 15 – Gabriel Fauré
Pour violon, alto, violoncelle et piano
with guest pianist Kevin Chen
The concert is at Salle Jean-Despréz, Maison du Citoyen 25 Rue Laurier, Gatineau
For those who have not been to this venue it is very intimate comfortable hall.
